Memories make shapes. I was an exploring-nature-girl wondering among wild fields, smelling, picking, drying carefully bright colored flowers between my books’ pages. With this collection I try to create a new “botany” of metal “dried flowers”. I use industrial iron bells to which I also owe happy childhood experiences. They were attached to every costume sewn for me for costumes holidays. Their sounds accompanied my childhood. I open, cut, bend and solder these hard sphere “cocoon” shapes. I color them with torch oxidation, enamel and glass paints. Memories of childhood are woven within my work.
