Wood, leather, thread, silk textile, acrylic colours

This collection is inspired by the concept of accumulation. The accumulation of time, of space and of all remains of physical experience. The pieces act like still lives in the process of being captured. The materials are being composed in a way that mirrors the emotional, conceptual and tactile layers of my acts. Their colours remind us of fruits, of the earth and the natural world while decomposing. They are not idealised and they are not in their peak time. They are about to lose their brightness and glamour, but they’re comfortable in their organic nature. These pieces are proud of their lackluster and raw character, as the remnants of their existence are being appreciated. This work belongs to the earth, to nature itself; its colours contributing to the everlasting cycle of life.

I wish to thank Jorge Manilla for the initial inspiration.
