Copper, brass, mineral powder
Taking physical disease as my subject matter, I have developed a series of body jewelry that packages what is generally a negative topic with individual physical aesthetics, utilising the linear structure of chemical elements as a foundation.
By transforming this oblique pathology, the different forms and styles of the pieces express the diverse modality of disease.
Through “electroforming” techniques, naturally formed irregular spheres proliferate like a malignant tumour.
It is my hope that such a discussion of the interactive relationship between the works and the human body and the distinctive shapes created, will serve as critique of artificial chemical substances.
