Graphite, brass, resin, steel wire

While “diamonds last forever”, human nature is transitory. Can one collect and save the happy moments and memories? This is not a collection about the material value of a piece, like gold or diamonds, but it is about the realisation of fully enjoying the moment. Graphite and diamond are two different forms of the same element, carbon. Graphite is one of the most perishable materials, while diamond is valuable and it has the maximum hardness. I work with the emotional value of objects, rather than their bare material value. Wearable objects made of graphite or coloured chalk, represent spontaneous moments of joy or suspense. If “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”, then graphite is an artist’s best friend!
