Antique teak, silver

In my jewelry creations, I work with different narrative codes and connotations. As a jewelry artist and anthropologist, the human being is in the center of my research and thoughts.

I use objects that have been found. It is a collection of rare woods and other naturally grown materials, combined with metal, in order to create objects reflecting human life in different aspects. Through communication between icon – character of the material – viewer, the story behind the object occurs.

The pieces of antique teak wood, once hosting insects, give an impression of destroyed houses and reflect wars; but also the loss of home in a more general sense, a contemporary severe problem.
