Salt is a key component of life and sea. The magical world of the sea is presented through the poetry of N. Kavvadias, which deals with the cruel life of seamen. Salt reflects the absence, the trapping of the soul and the hardening of the body. The strength of salt becomes corrosive and destructive to body and matter. It is denatured in a precious mineral, telling stories about long trips and brutes.
