23/7/2018, flames in Attika consumed human lives and acres of forest. In an attempt to convey the feelings that conquer my subconscious and approach the human nature as a never-ending cycle of creation and destruction, “Tenebris” collection was born. The tree as a symbol is used either as a memory, or as destroyed and burnt material, connecting the three states: birth, life and death. Materials salvaged from the burnt regions, fabricate sinister objects, homage to what was lost. “Tenebris”, is an exploration of the self-destructing human nature, of its effect on Nature, but also a search for faith.
