Sophia Mann

My work involves creating new, innovative forms of bead worked jewelry, connecting elements made of semi-precious and precious beads, in between 18kt gold and sterling silver frames. As the interaction of opposing forces inspires me, I always look at creating a tension or impact on the beadwork or textural elements used. My interest in the human form can be clearly seen. I celebrate the strength and beauty of the feminine body, with the intention to mimic flesh, giving my jewelry a visceral, sensual quality.
